JIN H. PARK MA, LPCC (she/her)
As a psychotherapist, my role is to be a constant and steady source of mental, emotional, and relational support for my clients. Together we deep dive into uncovering and understanding the origin of their distress and struggles and explore pathways to heal and cope more effectively. I believe the therapeutic relationship that is formed between myself and my clients, combined with the bespoke therapeutic tools offered, is a powerful resource for healing and growth. My approach is eclectic in that I work through a relational, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral lens.
I work with adult individuals (age 18+) who struggle with a myriad of challenges but my primary focus is on self esteem/identity, anxiety, depression and intergenerational trauma. I welcome all with the only expectation that you are wanting and ready to commit to the hard yet rewarding work of participating in therapy.
A little something personal about me: I’ve lived most of my life in New York City along with brief residencies in other bustling cities including Los Angeles and Chicago. During the pandemic, when it felt like a good time to make a change again, I made my way to the beautiful Twin Cities. When I’m not in therapist mode, you can find me embracing my Coonhound pup or searching for delicious food establishments to frequent with my husband.
